Is Mozeliak a good GM?

Today on Twitter, a conversation began about whether John Mozeliak was a good General Manager. Outside of John Mabry, there may not be an employee of the St. Louis Cardinals’ organization that brings more mixed feelings from fans than John Mozeliak. Cardinals extend Mozeliak and Matheny

The Cardinals announced today that they have signed General Manager John Mozeliak to a three year extension that will run through the 2016 season. Also, they have picked up the option year on Mike Matheny‘s contract which keeps him the skipper of the team through 2014.

Chris Carpenter has yet to return to throwing after his neck injury in Spring Training.

Something I’m going to try to do every Monday morning through the offseason is come through and just recap what I think the top Cardinals stories, rumors, and notes of the previous week were and a quick take on them. There were some interesting things said in the last week that I’ve been itching to address but they aren’t juicy enough to give a full fledged take on them. And with that we will get going.
